  • The city government team has completed six months in office. Mayor urges all colleagues to continue the efforts in the upcoming term.

Taoyuan Mayor Chang San-Cheng presided over a municipal meeting this morning (June 28) and expressed gratitude to all department heads and colleagues for their efforts over the past six months since the city government team took office. Together, the Taoyuan City Government team has implemented many policies that have been well-received by the public, including the “Annual Contract Period for Substitute Teachers,” the “TPASS (Keelung City/Taipei City/New Taipei City/Taoyuan City 1200 NTD Public Transportation Commuter Monthly Pass),” and the “Silent Taoyuan Project.” These achievements are the result of everyone’s joint efforts. Mayor Chang encouraged all colleagues to continue working hard in the upcoming term. When facing unforeseen emergencies, the team should remain flexible, responsive, and empathetic in resolving citizens’ problems in a timely manner, believing that it will make the residents feel the positive changes and contribute to the continuous improvement of Taoyuan.

Mayor Chang stated that half a year has passed, and one-eighth of the four-year term has already been completed. He urged all colleagues to continue the efforts in the subsequent term, just as they have in the past six months to make a positive impact on the citizens. While many policies proposed by the city government have received recognition, it is important to be vigilant about areas that need improvement. The Taoyuan City Government team should proactively address public dissatisfaction and promptly respond to and resolve citizens’ concerns.
