Taoyuan's economic power is the first in Taiwan. Continuous investment promotion and high administrative efficiency in Taoyuan provide excellent investment services for domestic and foreign companies

Taoyuan Mayor Cheng Wen-Tsan presided over the municipal meeting on the afternoon of November 17th and listened to a presentation on "Taoyuan Industrial Investment" by the Department of Economic Development. He said that in 2021, the world’s economy was impacted by Covid-19, leading to an international recession. However, Taoyuan continued to attract investment. In the "Three Major Programs for Investing in Taiwan," Taoyuan's total investment reached NTD 254 billion, accounting for 20% of all. Also, this number is the best in Taiwan. The number of the employed is 23,819, accounting for 21% of all. It is also the best in Taiwan. The Taoyuan City Government bureaus also keep improving their efficiency. The efficiency of the adjacent expansion plan of the industries, the non-municipal land modification plan, the soil and water conservation plan, the outflow control plan, and the construction license review are the best among all six municipalities. Mayor Cheng thanked all the bureaus and offices for their diligence to assist legal investors to overcome difficulties and settle in Taoyuan. In the future, he invites all bureaus to continue their efforts and use the Department of Economic Development Investor Service Center as a communication medium to strengthen horizontal connections and provide enterprises with convenient investment services.

Mayor Cheng stated that domestic companies, including Delta Electronics, Inc., Quanta Computer, ASE Technology Holding Co., Ltd., Shin Kong Group, Kinsus Interconnect Technology Corp., PEGAVISION, and Pegatron Corp., have all expanded their investment in Taoyuan. It is expected to have more than NTD 100 billion new investments and nearly 8,000 job opportunities. Super Micro Computer, Inc., Amkor Technology, Inc., BASF SE, Carrefour, YKK Taiwan Co., Ltd., and other foreign-funded manufacturers in the United States, France, Germany, Japan, etc. are also continuing to expand in Taoyuan. The amount of estimated investment increase is up to NTD 38.2 billion.
