On September 24, Taoyuan City Mayor Chang San-Cheng attended the “Taoyuan International Trade Meeting.” Mayor Chang emphasized that Taoyuan is not only Taiwan's gateway to the world but also a major industrial hub with the highest industrial output in Taiwan. He was delighted to welcome 21 prominent overseas buyers from 12 countries—including the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, South Korea, Vietnam, and Turkey—to Taoyuan. Through this meeting, he hopes to attract more high-quality enterprises to establish operations in the city and to showcase the outstanding technology and branding capabilities of local businesses, allowing the world to see what Taoyuan has to offer.
Now in its eighth year, the Taoyuan International Trade Meeting featured 145 suppliers from industries such as smart transportation, sustainable energy, information and communications technology, smart healthcare, and food processing. The event facilitated 266 matchmaking sessions with international buyers. Key local companies like Delta Electronics, Fortune Electric, and BenQ Materials also participated. The meeting included seminars on “Global Low-Carbon Economic Trends and Practical Analysis” and a “U.S. Market Briefing,” as well as an industry exhibition featuring 20 Taoyuan-based companies. These activities not only help businesses capitalize on the abundant opportunities presented by the emerging low-carbon economy and the U.S. market but also allow them to showcase their latest products, attracting enthusiastic interest from numerous domestic and international firms.
