Taoyuan Art Tour | Performance Section | May to September | This project was first planned and initiated in 2013 and openly solicited projects from registered performance groups throughout the world. Professional consultants were also employed to provide recommendations to public spaces in various districts of Taoyuan frequented by the people and use these spaces for organizing outdoor performances with the aim of shortening distances and increasing the accessibility of excellent performances to the general public, and for developing a strong background of cultural and art appreciation in Taoyuan City. |
Taoyuan Land Art Festival | Visual Section | August to September | Includes 3 major themes of Local Awakening, Community Vitality, and Art Integration as well as the 4 major values of Community Participation, Local Features, Environmental Sustainability, and Circular Economy. Art installations and featured local sceneries of Taoyuan are used to introduce aesthetic elements into community environments and achieve the aim of revitalizing local art and culture. |
Taoyuan International ACGT Fair | Department of Cultural Affairs, Taoyuan | July | Theme-based exhibits are used everywhere to focus on any one of the ACGT (animation, cartoon, games, and toys) industry linked to the 3 others. A theme-based exhibit area is planned to help people better familiarize themselves with the latest trends of animation and cartoon, present the diverse contents of the animation and cartoon sector, and offer an artistic and entertaining experience at the same time. The ACGT Fair also includes a number of dynamic events such as competitions in dance, cosplay, and gaming as well as animation idol concerts and other large-scale events. Seminars and workshops are also organized to provide an excellent art and cultural event for young participants during the summer holidays. |

| August | Plans were made to screen quality films from Taiwan and other countries. Film professionals are also invited to Taoyuan for dialogs and special seminars. The Festival aims at creating a quality local film festival event in Taoyuan and providing a chance for Taoyuan residents to participate in a movie festival.

Taoyuan Military Kindred Village Cultural | Department of Cultural Affairs, Taoyuan
| October | This themed-event features unique background and cultural features of military dependents' villages, and presents the special characteristics and stories of said villages in Taoyuan. The historical sites of the military dependents' village iron-triangle in Taoyuan and local events held for public housing communities are used to develop a more innovative and intimate cultural festival and experience. |
Taoyuan Iron Rose Festival
| (Provided by Arts Facilities Management Center, Taoyuan) | September to December | "Iron Rose Theatre(also known as Taoyuan Arts Center )" was founded in 2012, named after its streamlined, spiraling architectural appearance, which looks like a ribbon hovering from earth. Its metallic aluminum plate shines under the sun also can be seen as a metal rose, if overlooking it from the sky. Since then, Taoyuan Arts Center has built up its high reputation, not only by providing the fine arts field for the local audience, but also by creating the unique artistic atmosphere.
“Taoyuan Iron Rose Festival” draws upon the rose impression of the Arts center as inspiration, allowing art to take
root, germinate, and flourish on the land. Since 2018, professional curator, Mr. Keng Yi-wei, has been invited to imbue the rose with more charisma through curating the festival by the themes of “Mobile Nostalgia”,“La vie est d'ailleurs”and“Starting Over”. |
Daxi Daxi
| Provided by Daxi Wood Art Ecomuseum | July to August | Since 1917, in order to thank Saintly Emperor Guan's bless-ing, people of Daxi spontaneously held a celebration parade on his brithday, this celebration has been passed down and many community of believers from different industries and regions has joined a century, for now “Puji Temple Annual Celebration of Saintly Emperor Guan's Birthday” not only registered as Taoyuan City's intangible cultural heritage, but also become Daxi people's second Chinese New Year, fully show the local culture. |
