  • Mayor Chang San-Cheng delivers remarks

Taoyuan Mayor Chang San-Cheng attended the opening of the UPS Taoyuan International Logistics Center (TILC) on the morning of March 25. Mayor Chang stated that Taoyuan is Taiwan’s leading industrial city, with annual industrial output reaching NT$4.5 trillion, the highest in the nation. He emphasized that Taoyuan has attracted the largest share of foreign investment under the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ Three Major Programs for Investing in Taiwan. The inauguration of the TILC not only demonstrates global enterprise confidence in Taoyuan’s economic landscape but also solidifies the city’s pivotal position within the global supply chain. The City Government remains committed to providing administrative support to help businesses deepen their local operations and transform Taoyuan into a premier international gateway.

Mayor Chang noted that the TILC is located at the heart of the Taoyuan Aerotropolis, Taiwan’s largest-ever land development project. Following over a decade of collaboration between the City Government and Taoyuan International Airport Corp. (TIAC), the project is now yielding significant results. With the TILC operational and the subsequent arrival of airline headquarters and logistics parks, a powerful industrial cluster effect is emerging. This momentum will further revitalize regional industrial capacity and enhance urban amenities, establishing the Taoyuan Aerotropolis as a landmark for international trade and commerce.
