On November 2, Taoyuan Mayor Chang San-Cheng attended the 2025 Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) Championship Parade. He first congratulated the Rakuten Monkeys for fighting through adversity and realizing their championship dream. Mayor Chang remarked that this season was filled with thrilling moments, and that all “10th Man” supporters rode an emotional rollercoaster with each game. In the final match of the Taiwan Series, the team staged a dramatic comeback in extra innings, fully displaying the Taoyuan spirit of perseverance and strength. He added that the Taoyuan City Government will continue to walk alongside the Rakuten Monkeys and their fans in pursuit of the next championship title.

Mayor Chang stated that the Taoyuan City Government is actively advancing plans for the Taoyuan Dome, which will be developed through a BOT model in the Zhongli Sports Park. The city expects to launch investor recruitment procedures in 2026. The dome is envisioned as a future landmark for Taoyuan, featuring not only a professional sports stadium, but also integration with the Green Line of the Taoyuan Metro. Supporting infrastructure such as transportation links and parking facilities will be planned in parallel to create a high-quality, well-connected sports venue.

Later that day, Mayor Chang welcomed the team on the plaza outside Taoyuan City Hall and accepted the championship trophy from team representative Kohei Makino. He congratulated the Rakuten Monkeys on capturing the 2025 Taiwan Series title. As fans joined in a rousing sing-along of the team anthem, “Rakuten Warriors,” the Rakuten Monkeys flag was raised over City Hall—a tribute to the champions and a celebration shared by the entire city.
