The identity documents of both parties (identity card for compatriots; passport, resident certificate, or entry &amp; exit permit for foreigners; the entry &amp; exit permit stamped with &ldquo;Interview passed, please apply for marriage registration&rdquo; by the Department of Immigration for people from mainland China).</div><div>2. Household certificate, one photo shot in two years, and a stamper (signature).</div><div>3. For compatriots and people from mainland China, or those from specific countries and do not have permanent resident certificates issued by the Immigration Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (the specific countries can be found on the website of Bureau of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs), the procedures of the marriage registration application are as follows:</div><div style="margin-left: 40px;">(1) Citizens in mainland China should complete the marriage registration in mainland China and bring the marriage certificate and other documents to the Immigration Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to apply for an interview. After passing the interview, one should carry the marriage certificate verified by the Straits Exchange Foundation to any of household registration office.</div><div style="margin-left: 40px;">(2) People from specific countries should complete the marriage registration at their home countries and bring the marriage documents and others to the Taiwan embassy for document verification and interviews. After passing the interview, one must carry the verified marriage documents (accompanied by an examined or certified Chinese translation copy) and the Chinese name adopting statement of foreign spouse to the household registration office for application.</div><div>4. For compatriots and people from specific countries with permanent resident certificates issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or foreigners married in Taiwan, please bring the marriage certificate (the relevant information such as the signature of two witnesses), the foreign spouse Declaration of the Chinese Name Statement, Marriage Status Verification Document by the embassy and the Chinese translation and register by both parties at any household registration office.</div><div>★Advisory unit: any household registration office in Taiwan</div>]]></description><pubDate>Wed, 21 Jun 2017 16:00:00 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title><![CDATA[Birth Registration]]></title><link>https://eng.tycg.gov.tw/News_Content.aspx?n=914&amp;s=330614</link><description><![CDATA[<div><span style="font-size: larger;"><span style="color: rgb(51, 102, 255);">&nbsp;<strong>For Birth Registration</strong></span></span></div><div>The applicant must be applied by one of the relatives including father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, head of the household, cohabitation, or adopter. He or she should prepare the following items to the household registration office in which area the registrant wants to establish his or her household registration:</div><div>1.Birth certificate (original is required)</div><div>2.Household certificate, applicant&#39;s identity card and their stamper (or signature). Also, the marriage or cohabitation date of the parents must be provided.</div><div>3.If the applicant entrusts others to file application, the power of attorney, the ID card, and stamper(or signature) of the trustee are needed.</div><div>4.Child&#39;s Surname Agreement (Legitimate children of Taiwanese citizens with foreign spouses should be complied with the name rules in Taiwan) is only exempted if it has been clearly written on the birth certificate. (The subject field should be signed or sealed by the parents of the newborn).</div><div>5.Orphan&rsquo;s birth registration should be made by baby&rsquo;s photo and the public documents approved by police agencies.</div><div>6.Applicant applied with the identity of a stakeholder should attach a document of interest.</div>]]></description><pubDate>Wed, 21 Jun 2017 16:00:00 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title><![CDATA[Death Registration]]></title><link>https://eng.tycg.gov.tw/News_Content.aspx?n=914&amp;s=330615</link><description><![CDATA[<div style="layout-grid-mode:char"><div><span style="font-size: larger;"><span style="color: rgb(51, 102, 255);"><b>Applicant</b></span></span></div> <div><span style="">1.Death Registration: spouse, relatives, head of the household, cohabitants, person who handles the funeral, landlord or property holder when the person was dead.</span></div> <div><span style="">2.Death Announcement Registration: claimer of death announcement or stakeholder.</span></div> <div><span style="">3.Trustee.</span></div> <div> </div> <div><span style="font-size: larger;"><span style="color: rgb(51, 102, 255);"><b>Required Documents</b></span></span></div> <div><span style="">1.The death certificate issued by prosecutors office, military prosecutors office, or medical institution, or the judgment paper of death declared by the court.</span></div> <div><span style="">2.The applicant's identity card and stamper (or signature).</span></div> <div><span style="">3.The identity card and household certificate of the dead. If the dead has a spouse, the spouse should prepare his/her identity card as well. Furthermore, one front and half-body colored photo in two years and the fee of 50 NTD for card change are required.</span></div> <div><span style="">4.If the applicant entrusts an agent to file application, the power of attorney and the trustee&rsquo;s ID card as well as stamper (or signature) are needed. </span></div> <div><span style="">5.For those who dies overseas, with the death certificate issued by the hospital where one dies must be verified by Taiwan Embassy, Representative Office, Office Agency or other authorized offices by Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If it is a foreign language certificate, it should be translated into Chinese and verified by the foreign unit, re-examined by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or notarized by the court or the notary public office.</span></div> <div><span style="">6.If one encounters a disaster and the body has not been found, making it insufficient to proclaim death.
